The Harlow family has farmed the same 80 acres outside Ojai, California since 1962. Heritage breeds — Barred Rock, Rhode Island Red, Black Australorp — move through rotating paddocks, eating what chickens were meant to eat: grass, insects, scratch grain, and the occasional fallen apricot.
No antibiotics. No hormones. No cages. The flock is small by design — never more than 400 hens — so every egg that leaves the farm carries the attention it deserves.
